Can adults run together with children in the Cheap Energy Kids Run?2026-03-18T12:23:07+00:00

The Cheap Energy Kids Run has two different distances – 550 meters and 1600 meters. The children who run 550 meters, may of course have an adult with them as support during the race. There are two different starts for 550 meters. The children who run the long distance of 1600 meters can do without extra help from an adult.

Can I register late?2026-03-19T11:54:31+00:00

If there are still spots available, you can register late via the website until bib collection opens. Late registration is subject to an additional fee of SEK 200 per runner for the Helsingborg Marathon and HOKA Helsingborg Half Marathon. Late registration includes the same benefits as regular registration, except that your name/team name and flag will not be printed on the bib. If spots remain, it is also possible to register late on-site during bib collection.

Please note that all entries for the Helsingborg Marathon and HOKA Helsingborg Half Marathon sold out before summer last year, which means that late registration will most likely be limited.

When does the race start?2026-03-19T12:59:15+00:00

Helsingborg Marathon
Start time: 10:00
There are no fixed start g
roups for the Helsingborg Marathon, but there will be clear guidance in the start area on where to position yourself based on your expected finish time.

Lydinge Resort Relay 21 km & 42 km
Start time 21 km: 09:40

Start Group 2: 09:33
Start Group 3: 09:36

Please note that the race has three start groups. Your assigned start group will be shown in your race confirmation and on your bib.

Cheap Energy Kids Run
1600 m (without adult): 08:30
650 m (with adult): 08:40
650 m (without adult): 08:50

The start is located outside Restaurant Badvakten at Fria bad (approximately 550 meters north of the finish line at Gröningen).

How does the timing system work?2026-03-19T13:09:45+00:00

Timing is handled using an electronic chip attached to the back of your bib. The system records both your gross time (from the start of your start group) and your net time (from when you cross the start mat), and stops when you cross the finish line. Results and rankings are based on gross time.

You don’t need to worry if you start far back in the starting corral. However, it’s important that you run across the timing mats along the course as well as at the start and finish. This ensures that your split times are recorded. Final placements in the races are determined by the order in which runners cross the finish line (gun time).

The chip is single-use and does not need to be returned after the race. Feel free to keep your bib – share your experience on social media or hang it up at home. Be proud of your achievement!

Do I have to wear a bib number?2025-10-22T06:54:00+00:00

Yes! All participants must wear their bib number clearly visible on the chest. The bib number must not be folded or altered in any way. If this is not followed, we cannot guarantee that you will receive an official finish time, and disqualification may occur.

Is there a time limit?2026-03-19T14:40:42+00:00

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer unlimited time to complete our races. This is due to road closures and the fact that many of our volunteers work very long days. Therefore, we have set maximum time limits for all races.

Helsingborg Marathon

Maximum time: 6 hours
You must have passed 21.1 km within 3 hours and 30 minutes and 30 km within 4 hours and 15 minutes. If our sweep cyclists determine at 21.1 km that you will not meet the time limit, you may be asked to continue outside the race, at your own risk. This means that course marshals may have left their positions and road closures may have been removed.

HOKA Helsingborg Half Marathon

Maximum time: 6 hours

Lydinge Resort Relay 21 km

Maximum time: 3 hours
Each leg has a maximum time of 45 minutes.

Lydinge Resort Relay 42 km

Maximum time: 5.5 hours
Each leg has a maximum time of 82 minutes.

Are there toilets?2026-03-20T10:10:29+00:00

There are plenty of toilets available in both the start and finish areas. You will also find toilets at each relay station for the Lydinge Resort Relay, as well as at all fluid and energy stations along the course.

How does the traffic work?2026-03-20T10:13:49+00:00

On Saturday, 5 September 2026, Helsingborg Marathon, HOKA Helsingborg Half Marathon, Lydinge Resort Relay, and Cheap Energy Kids Run will take place in the city. The course stretches from Råå in the south to Laröd in the north, meaning runners will pass many streets, intersections, and squares. To ensure the races can be carried out safely and smoothly, some streets will be temporarily closed or have limited access during the day. We appreciate your understanding and patience so that both runners and spectators can enjoy a great experience.

Public transport
Bus services will operate according to the regular timetable, with possible minor delays. In some cases, buses may need to wait for runners before they can pass.

A call to all residents of Helsingborg
We hope that all of Helsingborg, just like in previous years, will come out and line the course! Cheer the runners on, spray water, play music, and help create the magical atmosphere that makes the race unique.

It’s all these small and big initiatives that turn the event into more than just a marathon—it becomes a celebration for the entire city. Many runners say that the atmosphere in Helsingborg is exactly what makes them want to come back, and we know it’s all thanks to you, the people of Helsingborg. Thank you for your engagement!

Can I leave my bag at the relay station?2026-03-20T10:47:27+00:00

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer bag storage at the relay stations for the Lydinge Resort Relay. A tip for those of you not currently running is to do a “stick-for-bag” exchange. This means that those waiting at a relay station bring their bag with them. When your teammate arrives to hand over the baton, you simultaneously hand over your bag to the runner who has just completed their leg. That way, your teammate can take care of your bag. Feel free to watch this instructional video!
