ABOUT THE COURSE

Helsingborg Marathon was created with a clear goal – to showcase the very best of our city. From the start at Sundstorget, with Dunkers Culture House as the backdrop, the course heads south along a flat and fast opening by the sea towards Råå Marina, before continuing up towards the Ättekulla Nature Reserve.

From there, two of the city’s most beloved natural highlights await – Ramlösa Brunnspark and Jordbodalen – before the course leads you straight into a truly unique setting: Fredriksdal Museums and Gardens. Here, you quite literally run through a working farm in the middle of the city, before the contrasts peak at Helsingborg Arena and the iconic Olympia stadium.

In the second half of the race, you pass the historic Kärnan tower, the tranquillity of Pålsjö Forest, and the historic neighbourhoods around Maria Park, followed by the fast, runnable stretch through Laröd, before letting go on the descent down Tinkarpsbacken and setting your sights on the sea.

The final 3,000 metres are something truly special. Every 100 metres is marked in a countdown towards the finish at Gröningen. Along the finishing stretch, you’re greeted by a sea of flags, the breeze from the Øresund, and a feeling that only Helsingborg can deliver.

At the finish, the wooden deck and celebrations by the water await. A course full of variety, experiences and energy – and the feeling afterwards is the same for everyone: I’ll be back again next year!
