Run the Swedish Championships in Half Marathon
We are honored to host the Swedish Half Marathon Championships in connection with the HOKA Helsingborg Half Marathon 2026. To participate in the Swedish Championships in Half Marathon, you must represent a club that is a member of the Swedish Athletics Federation.

Competition Information
Runners Society Athletes Club Helsingborg is the host of the 2026 Swedish Half Marathon Championships. The championship will take place in connection with the HOKA Helsingborg Half Marathon on 5 September 2026.
Date: 5 September 2026
Start time: 09:30
Start location: Kungsgatan at Sundstorget outside Dunkers Kulturhus
Course: Single-loop course through Helsingborg. See map and course profile here. Officially measured by federation measurer Per Månsson
Aid stations: 6 stations along the course serving water, sports drink from Umara, and fruit from Dole. In addition, Pepsi, Battery energy drink, chips, and pickles will be available along the route.
Personal support: Personal support is only allowed at the official aid stations, within 30 meters before or after the station. Violations may lead to disqualification.
Showers & Cold bath: Changing rooms, showers, sauna, and cold bath at Kallis, 300 meters north of the finish. Free entry with your bib number.

Registration: Register for the HOKA Helsingborg Half Marathon (registration opens soon). If you meet the requirements for participation, you will automatically be included in the Swedish Championships. Regular registration closes on 27 August 2026 at 23:59.
Registration with qualifying times: Send an email to hello@hbgm.se with a link to your results.
Entry fee: 280 SEK (if you meet the qualifying times, otherwise 800 SEK).
Qualifying standards for reduced SM entry fee, Men: Half Marathon: 1:12:00, 10,000m/10km: 31:30, Marathon: 2:32:00. Gross time = from the start gun to crossing the finish line and is the time recorded in all official statistics.
Qualifying standards for reduced SM entry fee, Women: Half Marathon: 1:24:00, 10,000m/10km: 37:00, Marathon: 2:55:00. Gross time = from the start gun to crossing the finish line and is the time recorded in all official statistics.

Race confirmation: Sent out no later than one week before the race to the email address provided at registration.
Bib numbers: Bib with start number, name, and chip worn on the chest, and SM bib worn on the back.
Bib pickup: Pick up your bib at Dunkers Kulturhus. Opening hours: Thursday 3 September 11:30–19:00, Friday 4 September 11:30–19:00, and Saturday 5 September 07:30–09:00.
Timing: Timing with chip attached to the bib number.
Bag drop: You can store your bag at the finish area at Gröningen, about 600 meters north of the start. You will receive a sticker with your start number in your bib envelope, which must be attached to your bag before drop-off.
Medal: All participants receive a medal after finishing.
Awards ceremony: Official awards ceremony at 11:15.
Competition rules: To participate, you must represent a club that is a member of the Swedish Athletics Federation. You must compete in your club’s official shirt/singlet. Headphones are not allowed.
Foreign athletes: Foreign citizens are eligible for the Swedish Championships if the conditions below are met, and the application for a competition permit is complete and submitted to the Swedish Athletics Federation no later than 6 August 2026.
– Must be registered as a resident and have mainly lived in Sweden for at least one year prior to race day.
– Must have permission from your home federation to represent a Swedish club.
– Must not compete in a national championship in your home country during 2026, including after the Swedish Half Marathon Championships.
